Kenneth Naehu

Managing Director

Kenneth Naehu is the Founder and Managing Director of Banyan Tree Asset Management, LLC. Prior to forming Banyan Tree, Ken was a Partner and Managing Director at Bel Air Investment Advisors where he joined shortly after its formation in 1998 to start and manage the Fixed Income Department.

Under his leadership, the fixed income assets grew from $250 million to over $3 billion. Before joining Bel Air, Ken was the Senior Trader and head of the West Coast Municipal Bond Department of Bear Stearns, and an Assistant Vice President in the High Yield Department with Drexel Burnham Lambert.

He has been extensively covered in the media, appearing on Bloomberg television and frequently quoted by CNN, Reuters, the Los Angeles Times and many others. Ken received his B.S. in Business Administration from Pepperdine University.

Brian Goldberg

Managing Director

Brian Goldberg is a Co-Founder and Managing Director at Banyan Tree Asset Management, LLC. Prior to forming Banyan Tree, Brian was Senior Portfolio Manager and Head of Fixed Income Research at Bel Air Investment Advisors, LLC from 2000-2013 where he managed over $3 billion in fixed income.

Before joining Bel Air, Brian was with Morgan Stanley where he managed fixed income and equity portfolios for ultra high net worth individuals. Brian received his B.S. in Business Finance from the University of Southern California.

Anny Choe

Chief Operating Officer

Anny Choe is the Chief Operating Officer of Banyan Tree Asset Management, LLC. She brings 20 years of experience to the firm having previously held several senior level positions. Prior to joining Banyan Tree, Anny was Founder and Managing Member of Coral Tree Wealth Advisors, and Chief Compliance Officer and Director of Operations at Everett Harris & Company. Other associations include Angeles Investment Advisors, Bel Air Investment Advisors, LLC, and SS&C Advent.

Anny received her B.S. in Journalism and Communications from University of Oregon, and her M.B.A. from UCLA Anderson School of Management. She is a CFA® charterholder and has earned the right to use the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement™ designation.

Chasen Volkel

Credit Analyst

Chasen Volkel is a Credit Analyst at Banyan Tree Asset Management, LLC. Prior to joining Banyan Tree, Chasen was an Investment Associate at Dimensional Fund Advisors. At Dimensional, he focused on global investments helping manage over $30 billion in assets from various institutions.

Chasen received his B.B.A from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. Outside of work, he enjoys all things outdoors - swimming, skiing, and biking.
